We’ve been sharing information about the communities surrounding each of our branch locations as well as a bit about our branch managers. Today, we are ready to feature the branch manager of our Main Branch (Wallkill), Rachel Haygood.
Getting to know Rachel Haygood, Branch Manager of Wallkill:
Rachel has served as branch manager for the Wallkill location of Wallkill Valley Federal Savings and Loan since 2014. However Rachel, a native of Wallkill has worked for Wallkill Valley Federal Savings and Loan in the past! She started her 21 year banking career with us. From 1995 – 2004, Rachel served in multiple capacities at the Wallkill branch. In 2004 she capitalized on an opportunity to further her career and took a position with Provident Bank. While we were sad to see her go, we are happy that she chose to come back to us as Branch Manager and looking forward to her future with WVFSL.
What does Rachel do in her free time? We’ll let her tell you in her own words:
“In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, being a “foodie”, and of course, going to the gym. When I can, I follow my true passion, makeup artistry. I often am hired to apply makeup for brides and their bridal parties.”
Want to hear what Rachel has to say about her hometown?
“Wallkill is a quiet community where everyone knows everyone and looks out for each other. I am fortunate to work in the town where I grew up and went to school. Some of the teachers I had have become customers and I still get to see them. Although I don't live in the town anymore, but because I work here I am able to see my family on a weekly basis and that is so important to me.”
