Today’s Small Business Spotlight is the Orphaned Wildlife Center, Inc! Susan and Jim Kowalczik have been taking care of wildlife and bears for a very long time. They own and live on the land and property where all the animals live so they can do all the daily care and maintenance. There is no other staff- truly a labor of love. Kerry Clair does all the admin work for the Orphaned Wildlife Center. She has been friends with Susan and Jim for many years and decided to join the team when they decided to grow into a nonprofit, no-kill animal sanctuary. Their goal is to provide safety and nurturing to orphaned animals to prepare them to return to a life in the wild. Through their efforts, they hope to encourage people to respect and care for our native wildlife.
