The Dog Days of Summer: 5 things you can do to end your summer right!

Summer is winding down, the 1st day of school is looming, and the pressure is on to get your fun in before it’s over.  Here are 5 ideas for Hudson Valley fun!

  1. Local Water Parks are open for until September 7th

The Hudson Valley is home to Zoom Flume Water Park in the Catskills, Splashdown Beach in Fishkill and Mountain Creek in Vernon, NJ.

  1. Take in a Baseball Game

The Hudson Valley Renegades is a minor league team who plays at Duchess Stadium. The season is winding down but there are home games scheduled for August 25th, 27th & 29th as well as September 5th, 6th & 7th.

  1. Visit the Renaissance Faire

Located in Tuxedo, NY the Renaissance Faire invites you to travel back in time to 16th century Elizabethan England.   1. The NY Air Show

Come to Stewart International Airport August 29th – 30th 2015 for 50 acres filled with military and commercial static aircraft displays, simulators & exhibits.  There will be demonstrations by the USAF F-22 Raptor Demo Team featuring USN f-18 Super Hornet and USMC AV-8B Harrier!  The gates open at 9am.  Tickets can be purchased at www.airshowny.com

  1. Spend a day at The Castle

The Castle Fun Center in Chester offers so much more than mini-golf.  With go-karts, roller skating, laser tag, batting cages and an arcade there are tons of activities for families to enjoy!
