Basic Checking
A free checking account. No minimum balance requirements and no monthly service fees!
Wallkill Valley BankOn Checking
Our Wallkill Valley BankOn Checking account is certified by Bank On National Account Standards. Bank On, led by national nonprofit organization the Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund (CFEFund.org), works to ensure that everyone has access to a safe, affordable transactional banking account. These standards designate accounts with low costs, high functionality, and consumer safety.
Personal Now
This account features great rates that are among the highest available from any local institution. Interest is compounded continuously and is credited to your account on a monthly basis.
- To obtain the disclosed annual percentage yield you need to maintain a minimum balance of $100.
- With a minimum daily balance of $300 there are no fees associated with the account. The $9.00 service fee applies if your account balance falls below the minimum at any time during the month.
50 Plus Checking
If you are 50 or over, and you are looking for an interest-bearing account, our 50 Plus Checking account is another great free checking account option with no minimum balance requirements and no monthly service fees.
Student Checking
Another FREE checking account, our Student Checking offers students 14 years or older* the convenience of a checking account. There are no minimum balance requirements and no monthly service fees!
* If you are 14 to 17 years of age you must have a parent or legal guardian on the account as a joint account holder.
Platinum Checking
An interest bearing account, our Platinum Checking also gives you 4 free foreign ATM transactions* per month. As with the NOW account, interest is compounded continuously and is credited to your account on a monthly basis
- To obtain the disclosed annual percentage yield you need to maintain a minimum balance of $100.
- You also need to sign up for monthly e-statements
- With a minimum daily balance of $500 there are no fees associated with the account. A $9.00 service fee applies if your account balance falls below the minimum at any time during the month.
* WVFSL will waive 4 foreign ATM transaction fees up to $10 per month.
Hometown Hero
Our Hometown Hero Account offers active or retired Military, Police, Fire Department or Ambulance the convenience of a free checking account.* Additional features include 5 free foreign ATM transactions per month** , .25% discount on consumer loan rate when you use the automatic loan payment feature and 50% discount for a small safe deposit box.
- To obtain the disclosed annual percentage yield you only need to maintain a minimum balance of $1000.
* Proof of active service or retirement required.
